We believe that every child should have the opportunity for a successful future.

Studies have shown that strong literacy skills have a direct correlation to a person’s self-worth, health, and the ability to achieve a fulfilling career. By providing children access to one new book a month during the school year, we open doors to a brighter future.

And that’s our goal.

To provide every first grader in Maine public schools with a new book every month of the school year.

We believe we can get there. In fact, we believe we can do it by the year 2025.

But we need your help.

Spread the word to businesses and organizations you think might be willing to join our mission to improve literacy rates in Maine. By presenting kids across our state with the chance to learn to enjoy reading through new books to keep every month, we will create opportunities for success, together.
